an incredibly fulfilling and fun-filled experience. thank YOU to siyuan for giving me this opportunity :D

day 1

lobbying for most of the day, got to know our chairs and den quite soon the 'groups' were set up, with one more pro-israel, the other more pro-palestine

day 2

the main debate. raised a few questions but sometimes felt i should have gone up and speak yet was afraid of getting shot down in case it was just that i didnt know ._. VERY heated debate and in the end passed resolution 2

would like to commend:

portugal - strong stance and stuck to her points very well, firm voice and manner

italy - similarly, if not even stronger

israel - doing extremely well under such strong pressure from neighbouring Arab League and other Muslim countries

japan - best speaker. enough said

but also kudos to.. :D

myanmar - best question: "will the delegate of portugal be more useful in this discussion by suggesting amendments rather than criticising the clauses" Zomg epic

czech republic - best analogy: "this resolution is like a miniskirt; it covers little, but it covers the vital parts"

singapore - BEST. best one-liner - his speech was "I agree with this resolution" den promptly go sit down again. WINNER rofl

russia - amazing voice, strong support for japan and especially commendable with questions to strengthen its allies' stands

overall, best delegate went to italy, congrats!

and congrats to everyone else too, SCQP, unfortunately, was the only council to pass its resolution, of which japan and its allies, including myself, were vehemently arguing against. thought the debate was very heated and almost going out of hand

had an external speaker too, came to talk about UN and stuff.. rather interesting

all in all, i am really glad i had a chance to come for SMUN 2009! :D no doubt will want to go again!

anyway today was the yr 4 xtreme, paired with liangwei and took 4f G3

it was kind of.. ._. at first since like the group not really bonded. go geylang for 1st station, then go raffles place take photo of the statues, istana park, fullerton hotel, etc etc. i guess while we didn't really become very bonded, at least can talk to them better as the day passes YAY =D

then the girls super imba lols. when we go take the photos of raffles statues, or rather when we were done, the next clue was to istana park, and then the task was to take a photo of a flower, which we gave them a sample copy. then they mistook it for the final clue part -.- and so guessed botanic gardens like ROFL. LOL! haha then we were the 5th at botanic gardens

when we finished the out-of-school one (which we got niao-ed a lot by KARMEN tmd and RACHEL thanks ah -.-) went back sch do sch run. quite fun lols running up and down the JH block. and of course weijia was very animated with all her hand actions and her voice and her BACKGROUND MUSIC -.-! and cy and siyuan the other two actors hoho.

then puzzle, and they finished like DAMN fast. tmd i turn back they done le o.o i thought can enjoy aircon for a while -.- so go bang gong ha we were about 10th. then thanks to our pinkpink photos (same shade of pink as a given strip then take photo, minus 5 minutes to max 1 hour)

so in the end 4F were overall FIRST!

ha.. ytd was handover ceremony for JH band...

amazingly, rumeng is chair lol.. jiahui vice-chair, jingjie treasurer, rachel secretary, xintian/jinkai/ruidi quarter-masters... chingwoon/kahmin head librarians.. binbin/dilys as concert mistress..

lol long time ago we made a pact, if rumeng became chair we would all quit.. rofl.. never expected that she could rise all the way... but i hope rumeng and jiahui can work well together to bring the band to even greater heights! (:

then our comm had some words of advice.. work together as a comm, as a band, support your comm, support each other, work hard, play hard... and in a comm must work together, always have the whole-group mentality and not have individual groups within the group... hopefully they will do well..

a year has passed quickly, i still remember when i was made qm.. heh mrs wong stressed on the importance of the qms.. as the next year passes, the new comm will be standing where we did ytd... passing on the baton to the next batch of leaders to lead our dhssb..

no more qm.. means no more opening/closing bandroom, classrooms, LTs.. first to come, last to leave.. sadly i was never the first to come.. so now qm is up to the yr 5s or the yr 3s.. feel a little sad even though i complained all the time about being a qm, it was really great working with weijie and junhao, and with the comm..

so, now apart from the band comm, but i'll still be in band! haha.. weijie, junhao, we were great qms~

ms seow's wedding.. congratulations ms seow! or now mdm seow hehe.. (sorry i dunno how to spell your husband's surname and i dont want to get it wrong =X)

so went to bedok, i was late, but only rx and ys there lol. then go to interchange, met jyz, go mrt and then wait for the rest. so when joy finally came, we all went to take 32.. lol saw jiahui's class and ms seow's last yr form class..

reached the church.. BFEC.. cool lah the wedding photos, ms seow looks so young LOL forever 18, even after marriage. anyway the bride and groom looked really nice in their wedding photos, penned well wishes and went to sit down

first time for everything, including the wedding.. never attended a church wedding before. it's really cool too! :D so wait for the bride, then they came in, made marriage vows, groom had a surprise performance, etc.. then got photo taking. haha then after that was lunch..

walk around, and in the end got to take an individual shot with the bride! yay! haha (: doubt will ever see ms seow like that again lol..

so after that we left, and about 10+ of us went to. went to... cineleisure at somerset.. lol watched madagascar 2 while candice wc ys watched quantum of solace.. mada 2 damn funny loL! haha and super ridiculous, but all round good humour... after movie we met up again and went to gloria jeans'. sit there damn long, play heart attack and murderer, and saw weijie lol! he wanted to tell the manager that he couldn't continue to work at gloria jeans, but i guess.. he's continuing lol.

then after other peeps left only left me km wc th jyz joy sop pau, went to subway while joy wanted to go to botak something or something lah cannot remember lol. but serve western de. so as usual sit there damn long, km was imba he finished a foot-long burger. whatever you call it i got no idea. even i decided on 6 inches.. and luckily i did, was quite full... then take photos lol. teck huat, the fa ge LOL

sit there damn long talk talk talk.. haha then left around 7 i think. then on the train ride home, chatted a lot... haha really cool never really talk so much to my classmates before..

wow it's kind of late.. after prom.. and tml ms seow's wedding.. (:

today was prom! tonight, anw. was realll fun

lol ytd go cousin house borrow clothes and had a really fun chat :D so i wore a short sleeve shirt + vest + short tie all-in-one with black pants.. doesn't feel very formal lol. met weijie yixiang yusiang (that boy very free leh) liangwei seeting puimun at vivo carls jr.. then go to the place... see 4d guys... 4j guys... of course 4h guys... 4k gals.. then more and more ppl came.. finally went in.

never go that place before, looks fun enough.. had games, camwhoring (LOL!), and got voting for prom king and queen.. FOOD LOL. haha so me and xingqi had to control our massive appetites i guess (:

anyway i guess i spammed my cam flash so much until it ran out of batt.. lol at least got to take many photos with my classmates. they dress til so glam worh! many girls with dresses, guys with long sleeve shirts and pants/jeans, some very business-like like ben sim and si chun... then got some super seh like charlotte lol. got a lot of. prizes. or summat, got prom king+queen, mr and ms sunshine, mr and ms sexy voice, couple games, etc etc.

hahaa congrats prom king and queen shaun and xizi! shaun really looked super nice... and xizi too! and happy birthday xizi! :D haha

kind of sad really that our class never really got very bonded together.. always got a few cliques here and there.. then some people just can't click together.. i guess i'm okay with everybody, dunno about vice versa...

i still remember in sec 3 i think first day of school, guys sitting at the back then me timothy and shaun happened to be talking and not concentrating on what mr koh was saying.. so he "appointed" shaun as chair, timo as treasurer and me as cip rep. guess it was like some kind of responsibility he entrusted on us.. im really sorry 4h and mr koh, for i was a really poor cip rep.. zz..

sometimes felt quite left out last year but i found solace in band, guess it wasn't too bad.. started to get to know everyone and i guess i was closer to the guys esp siswo and junhao who were my table partners the whole year.. thanks siswo and jh for being such nice ppl (:

unfortunately, our class was also periodically scolded by teachers for being too noisy.. guess i was quite irritated too, sorry ><

then in year 4, became more open with my class.. well i guess cos of personal reasons also so maybe i should be thankful? haha.. got more open with banders too.. more bonded.. still got scolded by teachers sometimes i think it was better this year. eh.. then got level camp.. think it was a great time and our class got a lil' more bonded.. lol but not without the usual complaints about the food hahaa. funny lah to see kaiming and co getting irritated with the quantity and quality of the food.. man. kaiming is just naturally funny i wish i could be like that haha

then comes exams, and comes the last day of school... 2 years passed by so fast.. life will never be the same

well done to Alonso, starting from 15th after a disaster ytd in qualifying but his strategy suited the race as he took the chequered flag.

fucking hell what kind of pit stop is that. you don't give your driver a green light and have the fuel hose not even starting to be removed. Massa disaster, not even his fault.

thought Raikkonen was doing brilliantly to come from like 14th to become 5th, and he HAD TO FUCKING CRASH. .....................

today was teacher's day! happy birthday to all teachers especially mr koh mrs phua li laoshi etc i.e. our teachers (: hope you guys had fun and happy teacher's day!!

and today bandits celebrated my birthday too! lol instead of mugging yuanhao made me play ball (bball and soccer) the whole day long so i effectively wasted my day and now my leg muscles cramped up too >_>

amazing 100m race from Bolt, i thought he would be under 9.7 but never expected it to be so easy. position 2 was 9.89 and position 8 was 10.03, difference is still less than that between 1st and 2nd. he totally owned, and at the last part he looked left, looked right, and pumped his fist to his chest and got the crowd going as he just FLEW HOME. most sensational race i have ever seen. and that, after Jamaica had never won a 100m race in men's or women's events in the Olympics, but Bolt just rewrote history. hope he wins the 200m! 100m and 200m sprint double, don't think anyone has ever won it, right?

as for Phelps, well no stopping him. 7th gold, too bad no WR this time

brisbane! is <3>< anyway we went to Movie World first! damn fun the Superman and i realised i always get stomachache before rollercoasters! but chose to sat in front and it was like WOW! track disappeared and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! =D hehe! then i half-slept on Lethal Weapon, half kept my eyes closed lol. we went to eat chicken drumsticks the size of FISTS (NO JOKE) and damn fattening lmao. the fries were .............. and took bumper cars LOL damn funny hahaha. and played DDR with xingqi like LOL. xingqi, my rollercoaster partner haha! and then take scooby doo! first time got bad stomachache but don't care take again and this time me and xingqi had a proper pose! HAHA YUZHEN AND CHERVELLE WERE LOOKING IN THE COMPLETELY WRONG DIRECTION XD XD XD XD XD XD and the log ride with junhao and clarinets! didn't expect the backward fall =D too bad nothing like scooby doo. but when it came out was like WAH! damn high but fun too =D and after that was check in into hotel and unpack and i realised i brought a lot of nonsense stuff.

day 2: visited St Andrew's Anglican College. the people are really nice! and so is the scenery and the school and obviously the cool weather. played Poema and BC Con which was totally screwed cos haevn't play instru for quite a while. and went to Montville! excelon place with fansasic scenery and walked through random shops with many nonsense photos. and 2 of zhen and serence! excelon. (becca is emo-ing -.-) bought nougat, macadamia chocolate, candy and a boomerang XD. dinner at a chinese restaurant.. 5 bowls of rice haha. forgot when was it me and weijie went out to eat instant noodles and then we had our gambling gang! excelon.

day 3: Redlands! went for rehearsal and saw Mr and Mrs Davis and Mr Barton (sp?) lol i am super lazy to blog so shall just say different people have different conducting techniques =) Jupiter Hymn was excelon and the Redlands people were nice! too bad didn't take a combined section photo =( cultural exchange was cool! lol but Mozart was kind of lag. and my cadenza was just improvised -.- overall was good lah thanks for the GO JIA YING lol don't think i dunno. and the piano pieces, singing, band, digeridoo (???) from Redlands, and of course our dear binx2 with her guzheng and the djembe + handrums. the night sky very nice lol! lala then go back sleep.

day 4: concert! warm up , lunch thne go the Redlands Performing Arts Centre to prepare for concert. after rehearsal we played snapjack! damn fun lol! got a video of it, and of rumeng too! dilys and trombones are WOLS =D took a lot of photos yay! then performance.. the big band was cool! played Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.. brought back a lot of dear memories of Rhythm XXI, was love<3 really loved Rhythm XXI. thought Mozart was quite well played, was quite relaxed. Poema and BC Con was fansasic. and Stand by Me was rubbish lol. Jupiter Hymn was decent but very nice lah. thought i lost my gold badge and zhen and becca said i looked damn sad but lucky with moo! haha

day 5: tropical fruit farm lol! the fruits were simply fansasic and played some funny games lol! then went to QWO's concert. very nice and Mr Davis even dedicated Rebroll to DHSSB <3 yay. then need to pack instruments le lol. but after that got like 2 hours to play yay got gambling den started by me and weijie on the firts day yay!

day 6: HA! woke up at 5 to play murderer LOL. zhen was tired, eli was like half-asleep and becca was dumb! lol! the sec 2 guys were walking in and out lol. went to nougat factory bought $100+ worth of stuff XD then went to Dreamworld! very fun lol in a big group. i think i overcame my fear of whatever le lol! Cyclone was sleepy but high =D the Claw was damn fun omg i miss my pirate ship XD people were screaming and i was being AA and posing yay! lol xingqi got ahem pains! XD and Wipeout was super funny i was cheering and swearing for fun! then sat the Vortex lol spaceship kind of thingy and i went upside down and kicked sweetheart's face D: sorry sweetheart! loves<3 and the arcade was totally crap LOL got people playing DDR and rumeng is ownage at time crisis 2 lol she like playing for her own life like that. and chervelle quite lousy LOL so xingqi took over and he was pwning rumeng LOL hahaha and then go Queen Street Mall. Borders was sick lah! hahaha =.= then go airport took a few last photos before my cam batt died =( on the plane was sleeping cos eli wasn't talking.

then returned to singapore, nearly cried. it's our last time with the junior high band D:

However, it was fate that decided that Terry, captain of the team he loves so much, had the responsibility of the decisive penalty, and he screwed it up. after Giggs scores his, Anelka's is saved by van der sar, making United champions of Europe again.

what an exciting match, totally not what most neutrals expected. a lot of drama too, and a brilliant Ronaldo header to silence his critics. was a great cross from Brown too, and on his left foot. however, Essien's deflected shot fell to Lampard who equalised just seconds before the half-time whistle. Chelsea came out in the 2nd half dominating, but United held on and it went to extra time, where United dominated. Drogba was shown the red card for slapping Vidic in front of the referee just minutes from the end of extra time, and it went down to penalties. Tevez, Carrick, Hargreaves (brilliant penalty into the top corner), Nani slotted their penalties home, and who should miss but Ronaldo, proven penalty scorer. it was a heart wrenching and an extremely tense moment as Terry stood up for the decisive penalty, but slipped and the tide suddenly turned. with a psychological advantage, Anderson and Kalou traded successful spot-kicks before Giggs, Ryan Giggs making the record number of appeareances (759 on the night) for United to coolly trick Cech and roll his penalty into the corner. and when van der sar saved Anelka's effort, it sparked wild celebrations.

all in all, a brilliant game from both teams, and it's great for Manchester United! =D

it was totally not what I expected. I took quite a while to get used to the fact that we would be staying 5 days 4 nights away from home, in not-so-good conditions. however, as time passed, I believed 4h as a class have forged stronger bonds within, and also with our 3 beloved instructors - Azman, Shafiq, Eunice.

4H - thanks for being there for me, without my class this level camp would have been boring. imo 4h was the brightest class, always noisy and cheering all the way, even when coming back from Pelapah when it was pitch dark. thank you! <3

not forgetting the teachers, especially our form teacher Mr Koh camp commandant, who delivered an emotional speech as he closed the campfire. yes it is true, we will always remember and treasure the memories. thank you all so much for making this camp possible, as well as the student leaders! <3

Hydra - the best group imo. cheered the loudest and we were really bonded together. thank you for making the level camp so fun for me! thankyou 4B, 4G, 4L! <3

SE CONCERT WAS BRILLIANT! HAAAHA

had a real good laugh, and immensely enjoyed all the chamber works and everything! fav: bach double violin concerto in d minor. oh man that was out of this world! kai li (is it? =X), rodion and samson are AMAZING! all the jazzy-like gliss, and their swaying and movements, simply stunning -applause- of course, the conductor was simply breathtaking as well, super involved in the music, and even played along! =D so cool... if only we can become like this too =D i really wantt XD and nicole was the star! XD hahaha

RHYTHM XXII

was great! even though it was super tiring, left me sleeping til 1.10pm..

in the morning, went to junhao's house to do cards. quite. failure lol. then do 3 on the MRT to school. bought lunch.. went to school, and give out cards and get some gifts. then go carry perc instruments and went to VCH.. helped carry the harp, and had an entertaining talk with chun bok about future aspirations and so on.

at VCH! lol nightmare. one room reserved for Kang Chiao, so got one less room. then me and terence go use the alumni room =.= sorry! anyway, after that was rehearsal.. Mozart was =/ but chunbok say was okay except the low notes -.- so then after that is Bc Con, Poema and Saga. very nice, good renditions. after that then is alumni+senior high band rehearsal. lol imba la lol. play a bit then okay go this bar that bar. in the end finished like super early. haha. then was Kang Chiao's rehearsal. their pieces very catchy lol. then i went around taking photos. lol zenn was there. called me a girl LOL cos i keep asking him take photos for us. got one with binbin and kahmin which looked super weird cos, well, they are considerably not as tall xD

slack slack.. but no time to write le -.- gave out the rest of my cards and got a lot of gifts too <3

Rhythm... after Kang Chiao and alumni+senior high was interval, and then is Mozart. wah fail leh. then keep trembling. people say it sounds very nice.. it's because of the composition, not my playing =.= made elementary mistakes also.. then get flowers from jazreen (thankyou! ^^) and sat down for BC Con. was super tired by then, and it was super warm i kept perspiring, even during Mozart. was quite good i guess, and i think 3rd movement was quite well done, everybody was watching well =) Poema was crappy, made a lot of mistakes, and couldn't really play.. by then super tired already.. when Poema ended it was late already.. sad couldn't end the way i wanted, but Stand By Me was super high. lol after concert a lot of audiences drifted backstage.. haha. then go pack up and change.. and go carry instruments. dunno where all my stuff went >_> i found my flowers, but now i lost my file. whoever has it please return to me on monday thanks!

carry harp again... omg was super tired. had a good time on the bus lol.. talking to mrs wong, chun bok and yong hui. haha, go back to school was dying lol. lucky got bus back.. go eunos take cab and went home. sent out thankyou messages.. reply and so on.. slept at 1.15.

today was the VJC invitational maths quiz.. i dunno why i go also, i don't always perform well in competitions.. aiya scrape that.

the final round damn funny lol! some of the questions so damn easy, then got one in the audience round i will never forget.

Qn: How many numbers are there between 1000 and 3000 divisible by 25?

jintao go ask loudly -.- whether is inclusive, they said no. which means the answer is (3000-1000)/25 - 1 = 79 lol.

fine the first guy said 80, laugh a bit but understood, probably didn't see. 2nd guy answered 78! walao rolling with laughter, and when the 3rd guy said 81, the LT erupted in violent laughter lol. and the 4th answer is the best - 80! LOL, WHEN ALREADY ONE GUY GOT WRONG FOR 80 BEFORE HIM/HER! HAHAHA HUMOUROUS! thankfully, the 5th guy got it correct - 79.

DHS didn't get a team in the final unlike last year, but i realised the questions in the final round are like generally simpler than those in the preliminary round. anyway, i not going for the NJC maths quiz, so good luck to all who are going! =D

Liverpool take on Inter Milan tonight at the San Siro in a bid to become the 4th English team to reach this season's Champions League quarter-finals..

Inter Milan, after all, are an Italian team, and the tempo of the Italian league is nowhere that of the English's, and this was evident in the 2-0 win at Anfield three (three?) weeks ago.

seriously, I don't want either team to progress, being a Man Utd fan you can understand why I don't want Liverpool to progress, but neither do I want Inter to progress, just a matter of taste, all you Inter fans reading this.

with Mancini considering using a 4-5-1, it shows his caution regarding Liverpool even though Inter are playing at home at the San Siro. again, as a matter of personal taste, I like Gerrard and Torres, whom I fancy to score, as they are both great players. Professionalism is unproven, but who cares. they speak on the pitch.

Materazzi suspended may be a key factor - he is a good defender in my opinion, but if Liverpool attack right from the start, it may be too much for Inter to handle, with the high tempo. if Liverpool defend deep, Ibrahimovich may be the key factor, as he can get a goal from nothing outside the penaltybox.

I'm going for Liverpool to progress even though it's not what I want, but Inter to perhaps sneak a draw or a win. that said, if Liverpool attack immediately and knick an away goal, it's all over for Inter.

zzz United out of the FA Cup, Portsmouth progress after a 1-0 win at OT.

zzzz. to think thaht we were so close yet so far. had many efforts on goal, some denied on the line, others denied on the post, but kudos to the Portsmouth defence and James, who were just great.

at least Chelsea are out to, thanks to superb Barnsley. I wouldn't begrudge them a FA Cup win, and who knows? they might just do that.
